Wickens: “The road to convalescence will be long”

Robert Wickens has communicated for the first time since his terrible crash in Pocono (Pennsylvania) where the 2011 Formula champion Renault 3.5 Series suffered from multiple injuries, including numerous fractures and a spinal cord injury.

“I just wanted to take the time to give you a little message. It's obviously been a while since I posted anything on social media, but I wanted to tell you that all the positive messages and thoughtful words mean the world to my family and myself., comments the Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver.

“I'm in rehabilitation trying to get back to 100% as quickly as possible, but I don't know yet what the future holds for me. The road to convalescence will be long. All I can promise you is to work as hard as possible to ensure I get back behind the wheel. I'm going to watch the final in Sonoma (California) on TV. »
