Will Power earned the 60th pole of his career after qualifying for the first race of the unprecedented Mid-Ohio doubleheader. The Australian, who started in the first qualifying group, set the best time in 1'06"3343.
He will share the front row with Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport), best time in the second group, and fastest earlier in the day during free practice.

Power's teammate, Josef Newgarden, will start in 3rd position, alongside Conor Daly (Ed Carpenter Racing).
The third member of Team Penske, simon pagenaud, was less happy, and will start from 10th place. It's still better than the overall leader, Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi), only 17th on the grid. A poor performance from which Newgarden, second overall, will seek to take advantage.
The first race will start this Saturday at 22:50 p.m.
