Will Power wins in Sao Paulo

The weekend ofIndycar was eventful to say the least. Originally scheduled for Sunday, the Sao Paulo race was postponed until today after the red flag was displayed following incessant rain on the track. This incident did not prevent Will Power from winning, even if his first place was contested for a moment by Takuma Sato.

Will Power also takes the lead in the Championship. The new leader can only be satisfied with his weekend. “ Being on pole four times and winning twice is a good start », Comments the Team Penske driver on indycar.com. “ You had to stay calm, not make mistakes and create a gap to be safe. »

The podium is completed by Graham Rahal (SC Chip Ganassi Racing), who managed to move up to 2nd place after his spin on lap 26. Ryan Briscoe (Team Penske) takes the last step of the podium and precedes Dario Franchitti ( Target Chip Ganassi Racing) which loses its first place in the standings.

Sébastien Bourdais was unlucky in Sao Paulo. The Dayle Coyne Racing driver crashed into a wall of tires at the start of the race and fell to 25th place in the Championship.
