Yuki Tsunoda on pole at Spa-Francorchamps

While his name comes back with more and more insistence for a possible seat at Alpha Tauri next year in F1, Yuki tsunoda (Carlin) hit hard by signing his second pole position of the season in Belgium. He will rush ahead Nikita mazepin (Hitech) and his compatriot Nobuharu Matsushita (MP Motorsport).

In the title race, Robert Shwartzman (Prema) took the second row (4th) and will therefore have the advantage over championship leader Callum Ilott (UNI-Virtuosi), author of a disappointing 12th time. Mick Schumacher he will start in 7th position.

Winner of both races two weeks ago in Barcelona, the two MP Motorsport drivers shone again, as Matsushita will start 3rd, ahead of his teammate Felipe Drugovich, author of a new Top 5 on a fast lap (5th).

For his big debut in F2, Jüri Vips (DAMS) was forced to immobilize its car from the first minutes after a technical problem, as was often the case with Sean Gelael before him. His teammate Daniel Ticktum will start 14th, after missing free practice due to an inconclusive (then ultimately negative) Covid-19 test.
