Yuki Tsunoda takes advantage of Prema's setbacks to win the sprint race

While Robert Shwartzman and Mick Schumacher fought for victory, Yuki tsunoda (Carlin) took advantage of the clash between the two members of the Ferrari Driver Academy to claim its first victory in the category ahead of Schumacher and Jack Aitken (Campos), who for his part took a second podium in a row.

The young Japanese driver, supported by Honda and Red Bull, had missed a victory that was promised to him during the Styrian Grand Prix because of a problem with his radio. It’s a nice revenge for him, after an interesting start to the season.

But none of this would have happened, of course, if the two Prema drivers had not lost each other. It's difficult to know who to blame, as the son of the Red Baron, who had just passed his teammate, fell back on the front wing of the Russian, who lost everything. In any case, the race management considered that it was only a racing incident.

Shwartzman's finish outside the points once again benefits Callum Ilott, championship leader since his victory in the main race on Saturday. The Briton was able to scrape up a few places to finish 6th, ahead of Daniel Ticktum (DAMS). It’s even a double good operation for Ilott, who also benefits from the puncture of Christian Lundgaard (ART Grand Prix), 2nd in the driver ranking before the race, and who was forced to retire.
