Zandvoort will replace Paul-Ricard in 2020

The 2020 season calendar F2 will be made up of 12 events, one more than this year, including 8 located in Europe.

The support championship of the premier single-seater category will notably travel to the new trip to Zandvoort (Netherlands) which promises to be a success given the national interest generated. In order to run the same number of races, Paul-Ricard (Var) leaves the calendar. The Castellet organizers will also suffer from the absence of F3.

“We will still have 12 rounds next year alongside the Grands Prix F1, comments F2 director Bruno Michel. We are keeping the same number of races as the last two years in order to have a good balance between the European events and the others. »

“I can confirm that many other circuits were interested in hosting F2, but as always, we want to ensure that the championship remains affordable by maintaining cost control”, he says.

Details on pre-season testing will be revealed at a later date.
