Zhou joins UNI-Virtuosi for 2019

The team known as Russian Time between 2015 and 2018 in Formula 2 made his first transfer for the 2019 season. The Chinese Guanyu-Zhou will actually evolve within UNI-Virtuosi, the new name of the British team.

The pilot of the Ferrari Driver Academy finally takes a step forward after three consecutive years in Formula 3 Europe (13th in 2016 with Motopark, 8th in 2017 and 2018 with Prema). The 19-year-old young man became in the streets of Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) the first Chinese winner in the championship last May.

« Post-season testing in Abu Dhabi (with Russian Time at the time) have been very positive and I am ready to have a great year with this team”, Guanyu Zhou said excitedly. “The championship promises to be very difficult and we feel that Guanyu has the talent to progress quickly”, believes for his part the owner of UNI-Virtuosi, Andy Roche.
