The Silverstone meeting probably won't feature very highly in the pantheon of the season. As in the two sprint races on Saturday, almost everything was decided at the start. Started on the front row behind the pole sitter Oscar piastri (According to), Guanyu-Zhou (UNI-Virtuosi) got the better of its counterpart inAlpine Academy when the lights went out and was able to relegate it to three seconds before passing through the obligatory pits.
A pit stop which mainly benefited Daniel Ticktum (Carlin). At home, the Briton, who took third place from Richard Verschoor (MP Motorsport) at the start, then successfully undercut Piastri to pass the Australian while he was struggling to warm up his tires on his lap output (T8). In the championship, Oscar Piastri, thanks to a superb defense in front of Richard Verschoor in the very last laps, remains leader ahead of Guanyu Zhou and Robert Shwartzman.
Lundgaard's bad luck
French side, Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) made another very average start from fifth place on the grid. The Habs were in fact overtaken by Christian Lundgaard (ART Grand Prix) and Robert Shwartzman (Prema). He finished 8th after being overtaken at the end of the race by Jüri Vips (Hitech) and pocketed four points.
Note the bad luck of Christian Lundgaard. The Dane had another complicated Sunday, even though he did a good job. A good start allowed him to move from 10th to 7th place, but his ART Grand Prix team completely missed its passage through the pit lane. When relaunching car, Lundgaard lost his left rear tire which was loose. He therefore started last, and also received a stop and go penalty.
