Still under contract with Ducati, Johann Zarco does not have the right to give his first impressions of the Honda that he tested in Valencia for the LCR team, with whom he will be aligned for the 2024 season.

However, his new team has revealed some clues which suggest that things are starting well for the Frenchman by communicating about the day of testing which took place this Tuesday, November 28.

“The new addition to the team, Johann Zarco, made his first day back on a Honda, with LCR, informs us of an official communication from the training of Lucio Cecchinello. The rider felt comfortable on the bike at the Ricardo Tormo circuit. The Frenchman ended the day by admitting that there were positives and potential. »

During this day, the Habs completed 61 passes, at the end of which he set the 17th time of the session in 1:30.283, one second from the reference mark set by Maverick Vinales (1:29.253). Zarco, however, is only two tenths behind his old machine, now driven by Franco Morbidelli.

During these seven hours of driving, the Cannes resident was able to get a first impression of the current Honda RC213V, as well as the machine still under development that he will ride next year. However, we will have to wait until December 31, and the end of his obligation to remain silent, to learn more about the pilot's personal feelings.
