Antibes Rally: Ciamin gets closer to victory

Strong leader of rally at the start of this second stage with almost 30 seconds ahead of Eric Camilli (C3 Rally2-PH Sport by Minerva Oil), Nicolas Ciamin (A110-Code Racing) took advantage of four special stages contested this morning to increase the gap on his pursuers. The driver ranked 3rd in WRC3 at the last Monte-Carlo now has a 40-second lead before heading into the last four special stages of the day.

Author of the scratch in the Saint-Martin-du-Var special (SS12), Eric Camilli must be wary of the threat Yoann Bonato (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) who could well dislodge him from second place.

Still in good rhythm, notably with a scratch in SS9, Quentin Giordano (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport) is in 4th place in addition to his domination in the Michelin “R5” Trophy.

The fight for the Top 5 will keep all its promises! Indeed, Cédric Robert (A110-Bonneton HDG) must now contain the Alpine of Julien Saunier and Raphaël Astier, both leaders of the Trophy Alpine Elf Rally. The last four stages will be decisive.

If the first two steps of the podium of the Michelin “Hors R5” Trophy seem promised to Cédric Robert and Grégory Fontalba (A110), the last runner-up sees a fight to the second between Luc Pistachi (BMW 318 Ti Compact) and Jonathan Boueri (Renault 11).

As for the Women's classification, Sarah Rumeau (208 Rally4) seems to have taken a slight advantage over Pauline Dalmasso (208 Rally4) with more than 20 seconds ahead before the start of the last loop.
