At Rouergue, Camilli takes the last step

The feeling of victory is anything but unknown for Éric Camilli. For the record, the Niçois knew how to triumph in his career on the roads of WRC, with successes at Monte-Carlo in WRC3 in 2020, or in Spain a few months earlier in WRC2. All while competing with drivers of the caliber of Mads Ostberg or Jan Kopecky.

“I’m having a little trouble realizing… it’s a great feeling!” – Eric Camilli

Despite this repeated presence among the elite of international Rally2, the French Rally Championship had never smiled on the PH Sport driver. On the one hand, because its only two complete seasons at the national level had been contested in the promotion formulas in 2013 and 2014, before the big leap to the World Cup in WRC2, then WRC3. On the other hand, his first two outings to win at Le Touquet and Vosges this year had been a loss.
