A weekend to mark with a milestone with the family Verstappen. If on Sunday, son Max went to win the Miami Grand Prix after a fantastic comeback from 9th place on the grid, father Jos had fun on the roads of the Monteberg Rally, in Belgium. And for his return to competition after five months off, following health problems, the ex-driver of Formula 1 won his very first rally.

Aboard the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, the Dutchman won… while being tied with his main competitor, Davy Vanneste. Verstappen was declared the winner, having set the fastest time on the opening stage. A victory that he shared with his co-driver Renaud Jamoul, who is none other than the former co-driver ofAdrien fourmaux en WRC.

When it started to rain during the day it was very slippery, but I was able to make up some time. I am very happy with my first rally victory. » Jos Verstappen should be present for the Sezoens Rally, as part of the Belgian rally championship, on May 20.
