Langres – Franceschi as boss

Setting off with the number one on the doors of his Skoda Fabia Rally2 evo, Mathieu Franceschi, co-driven by Lucie Baud, immediately confirmed his status as leader of the French Championship.

The AMD team driver showed a strong pace throughout the day and scored all the scratch times before returning to Langres as leader, with a comfortable lead, on the evening of the first stage.

The places of honor were more contested. Indeed, Grégoire Munster (Hyundai i20 N Rally2), Florent Todeschini (Ford Fiesta Rally2) and Matthieu Margaillan (Skoda Fabia R5) were battling it out throughout the day.

The three drivers were within 5 seconds at the start of SS 6, nothing was decided. Second to start after Mathieu Franceschi, Matthieu Margaillan went off the road. The race management then made the decision to neutralize the special.

At the end of SS 5, Thibaud Cellier (208 Rally4) was ahead of Loïc Astier (208 R2) in the two-wheel drive classification.

Starting at the head of the Clio Trophy France Terre, Jean-Paul Monnin (Clio Rally5) found himself battling with Mattéo Chatillon (Clio Rally5). The latter took the lead in the Trophy at the end of SS 5.

At the wheel of a Subaru STi N15 that he knows perfectly, Guy Bekaert was almost 50 seconds ahead of Anthony Leduc (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X) after the second pass of Mardor-Voisines, the fifth special of the day.
