WRC cancels Rally Japan

After Formula 1, the FIA WEC and the WTCR is the turn of WRC to cancel his visit to Japan for what was to be the last event of the season (November 12 to 14). This decision is explained by the worrying health situation and the various restrictions imposed in Japan.

“Considering the characteristics of the WRC competition, which takes place on public roads with the imperative cooperation of all in the local community, and the fact that in Japan, Covid-19 emergency cases continue to increase daily and the The mitigation of the situation remains unpredictable, together we found ourselves with only one choice which was, unfortunately, to cancel the Rally of Japan WRC 2021”, specifies the WRC press release.

A replacement event to conclude the season should be made official shortly.
