Antibes: Bonato advantage

Like the day before, the choice of tires was delicate this morning and everyone tried to find the best option to attack the still wet stages.

In great form this morning at the wheel of the C3 Rally2, Yoann Bonato (CHL Sport Auto) remained at the top of the timesheet during the three special stages scheduled on this loop. A flawless performance which allowed Bonato to return to the service park with a 19,6 second lead over Hugo Margaillan (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto).

Still on the provisional podium and leader of the Michelin Premium Trophy, Eric Camilli (C3 Rally2-PH Sport by Minerva Oil) must nevertheless be wary of Raphaël Astier (A110 Rally-CHL Sport Auto), only 2 seconds behind the Nice driver.

For his part, Léo Rossel (C3 Rally2-PH Sport by Minerva Oil) closed the Top 5 while remaining under threat from Nicolas Ciamin (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport).

Nothing is decided

Cédric Robert (A110 Rally-Team Bonneton HDG) lost precious seconds in the Col de Bleine and was in 8th place behind William Wagner (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport).

Tom Pieri (Clio Rally3) took advantage of his Clio's all-wheel drive to enter the Top 10 and dominate the Michelin Amateur Trophy ahead of Romain di Fante (Clio S1600).

For his first appearance in the French Championship this season, Pierre Roché (A110 Rally-Team FJ) occupied first place in the Trophy Alpine Elf Rally before the last three specials.

Benjamin Barnouin (Clio Rally5) took advantage of the retirement of Valentin Ascenzi (Clio Rally5) in SS 8 to take control of the Clio Trophy France Asphale. With only 20 seconds of difference between the first three, the last loop promises to be decisive for victory in this second round of the promotion formula for the diamond brand.

The drivers still have three stages to complete (starting at 13:59 p.m.) before returning to the final podium in Antibes on the shores of the Mediterranean.
