Bonato at fault, Giordano takes the lead at Rouergue

End of series for Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 Rally2). The three-time French Asphalt Rally champion, winner of the three 2020 events and the first two of 2021, made a mistake in the middle of the day at Rouergue, in the first meters of SS3.

The Deux Alpes driver announced that he will not restart in the second loop or tomorrow.

 

Problems which benefit Quentin Giordano (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5), author of the best time in SS3, and who therefore takes control of the event.

The Sarrazin Motorsport driver now has a lead of 7″6 over Camilli and 37″9 over William Wagner (Citroën C3 Rally2), who completes the provisional podium ahead of Ludovic Gal (Hyundai i20 R5) and Jordan Berfa (Hyundai i20 R5).

Cedric Robert (Alpine A110) dominates the R-GT category and in Two-Wheel Drive, while Stéphane Lefebvre (Opel Corsa Rally4) dominates in RC4, Anthony Fotia (Renault Clio Rally4) having experienced various technical avatars, including a problem with the brakes.

Florent Todeschini is in the lead in CFR Junior, when the Clio Trophy is led by Guillaume Canivenq ahead of Florian Bernardi and Romain di Fante. Nicolas Hernandez is at the forefront in Alpine Trophy.
