Bonato at the top of the Rallye Mont-Blanc

Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 R5) has put himself back in the title race in Rally Mont-Blanc en décrochant la victoire pour la troisième année consécutive. Le pilote de l’équipe CHL a surtout profité de l’abandon de Bryan Bouffier (Hyundai i20 R5) dans la pénultième spéciale suite à une casse de transmission alors qu’il évoluait en deuxième place.

Quentin Gilbert was the first to take advantage of Bryan Bouffier's misfortunes and finished in 2nd place, 23 seconds behind the winner, while the podium was completed by Thibault Habouzit. Pierre Roché took 4th place after having been able to claim the podium for a long time, but he saved his position at the last minute against Benjamin Perrin for a one second gap.

Bruno Riberi took 6th place ahead of Éric Mauffrey, William Wagner (Ford Fiesta R5), Max Vatanen (Hyundai i20 R5) and Matthieu Margaillan. Skoda is well highlighted with 7 Fabias in the Top 10.

Nicolas Ciamin was well on his way to lifting his Fiat Abarth 124 Rally into 5th position until the GT category leader was slowed down by mechanical problems, causing him to fall beyond 10th place.

Lionel Baud (DS 3 WRC) était en bagarre pour la deuxième place jusqu’à ce qu’il parte à la faute dans la première spéciale de la seconde étape. Il n’a pas été le seul en manque de réussite sur cette épreuve puisque Quentin Giordano (Hyundai i20 R5) a abandonné lors de la première journée suite à une casse mécanique. Patrick Rouillard (Porsche 997 GT3 Cup) a renoncé dans l’ES4 sur sortie de route. Le plus grand perdant reste certainement David Salanon (Ford Fiesta WRC) qui a mis pied à terre dès le début d’épreuve en étant trahi par sa mécanique.

Florian Bernardi won the Clio R3T Trophy which he won at the same time, while Hugo Margaillan won his first victory in the 208 Rally Cup.
