Yoann Bonato (DS 3 R5) completed the first stage of the Rally Mont-Blanc Morzine (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) by taking the lead in the last special of the day contested in wet conditions. The CHL team driver is ahead of Jérémi Ancian (Ford Fiesta R5) by 1''4 after having scored four consecutive scratches on the five special stages on the programme.
Lionel Baud (Skoda Fabia R5) completes the provisional podium almost 21 seconds from the head of the race with a dozen seconds ahead of Quentin Giordano (Skoda). Ludovic Gal (Skoda) completes the top five less than a minute behind the leader, preceding Benjamin Perrin (Skoda) and Patrick Rouillard (Porsche 997 GT3 Cup).
Eric Mauffrey (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) lost more than 2 minutes following a spin in the first special. Franck Lions (DS 3 WRC) abandoned on the next link following a broken shock absorber.
