Bonato in duel against Rossel at the Antibes Rally

Yoann Bonato is in a duel against Yohan Rossel for victory at the Antibes Côte d'Azur Rally. Quentin Gilbert could still get involved in the fight.

Bonato in duel against Rossel at the Antibes Rally

At the end of the first stage of Rally of Antibes Côte d'Azur contested in difficult conditions with fog and storms, it is Yoann Bonato who is in the lead in his Citroën C3 R5. The leader of the event nevertheless only has a 2 second lead over his teammate Yohan Rossel.

Quentin Gilbert completes the provisional podium on his Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 at the head of the Michelin R5 Trophy and remains able to join the fight for victory by only being 20 seconds from the lead of the race.

Rpahaël Astier (Hyundai i20 R5) et William Wagner (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5) complètent le Top 5 mais sont déjà hors de portée des leaders avec environ 2 minutes de retard.

Several competitors suffered in this stage. Nicolas Ciamin (Skoda Fabia R5) went off the road in the second special while Quentin Giordano (Hyundai i20 R5) also had to dismount following a power steering problem.

Mathieu Franceschi is in the lead and is at the gates of the Top 10, leading the non-R5 crews on his Peugeot 208 R2 which is 2 seconds ahead of Cédric Robert's DS 3 R3. Hugo Margaillan is a solid leader in the Junior Championship standings in his Ford Fiesta R2.

 

 

The second stage of the Antibes Rally will include 6 special stages.
