The 61st edition of the Critérium des Cévennes will have decided the attribution of the coronation in the 2019 French Asphalt Rally Championship. The duel between the two Citroën C3 R5s of Bonato-Boulloud and Rossel-Foulcrand will have marked the entire event .

It is made for @Rosselyohan and Benoît Fulcrand (@CitroenRacing C3 R5) who won the title at home! Congratulations to them, let's celebrate! pic.twitter.com/ErMXDxeSUi— Chpt France Rally (@CFRallye) October 26, 2019
Evolving on the razor's edge, the two rival crews even finished the first stage tied! A rare statistic in the national competition. The next day, the special stages in Hérault allowed a final selection to be made.
Yoann Bonato, already winner in 2018 and double reigning French champion, hit the nail on the head by building up a margin of 18”3 at the end of the day, Saturday October 26. Enough to win the rally but not to delay the deadline.
Indeed, Yohan Rossel secured second place, along with his co-driver Benoît Fulcrand. This result is synonymous with a title, with one rally still to go (the Var at the end of November).
Aged 24, Yohan Rossel thus won his most important reward in rallying, after a coronation in the Junior France category in 2014 and a victory in the Volant Peugeot 208 Rally Cup in 2018.
