Bonnefis winner of the Rallye Terre des Cardabelles

Emmanuel Gascou was the first leader of the event at the wheel of his Peugeot 207 S2000, but victory ultimately went to the other 207 S2000 of Germain Bonnefis who managed to maintain his pace despite his opening position on the road. The winner of the event finished 23 seconds ahead of his rival and took advantage of the absence of Noël Tron to replace himself in the Championship, just points behind leader Paul Chieusse. The driver of the Peugeot 307 WRC saves his position before the final contested in Vaucluse next month by climbing to the last step of the podium.

“It's great to win at home,” comments the winner. " It's a rally which has never worked for me before. It?s even more beautiful than winning the Causses, it has the value of a victory at Rouergue. It's a great operation for the Championship because I'm catching up behind Paul, it's promising for the last round. I thank the whole team as well as my partners. We proved that we could accelerate when necessary…”

After Cédric Hennion's Citroën C4 WRC went off the road, Stéphane Consani moved up to fourth place after a very good performance during these two stages and thus won the Citroën Racing Trophy. Gilles Ségales completes the top five with around ten seconds behind his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX. Thomas Privé finished sixth and second in the CRT category. Thierry Brun finished seventh on his Lancer Evo . Jérémi Ancian wins the Volant 12 by winning ahead of Stéphane Lefebvre and Franck Sias.
