Bouffier: “The best won”

Bryan Bouffier, you are Champion of France at the end of a long season. What state of mind are you in?
I am obviously very satisfied because that was the objective we set ourselves at the start of the season. THE Rally du Var is a fantastic event but full of traps. The Vidauban stage was in poor condition, it was very easy to make a mistake and puncture. In such conditions, one can only doubt. I am now much more serene!

Did you doubt during this final test?
When starting such an event with this type of contract to fulfill, we always have a little doubt, because the weather conditions were not easy and the tire choices were not simple. We had to ride on hard compounds in the rain, on very soft compounds in the dry?

What was the biggest moment of this season?
I think our victory in the Rallye des Cévennes was very important for us. We were able to gain a certain lead there. Without saying that we were able to manage this weekend, this victory in the Cévennes gave us the possibility of winning the championship during this Rallye du Var.

Despite his victory, Cédric Robert finished behind you in the championship?
I know Cédric well, we were teammates at Peugeot , I have a lot of respect for his career. I think he had a fantastic season. I think we can say that the best won. We both fought well all season. It was close on several occasions. I congratulate him on his journey but I am very happy to finish in first place.
