Campana and Mini at the top of Mont-Blanc

After winning the Richard Burns Memorial Rally, Pierre Campana signs the first victory for a Mini JCW in a national event. Bastiais seemed too far from Frédéric Comte (Peugeot 307 WRC), who largely led the debates after the retirement of Dany Snobeck (Citroën C4 WRC). But a scoring error when leaving service deprived him of success, the Peugeot driver having received a ten-minute penalty.

Gilles Nantet (Prsche 996 GT3) was able to challenge the Mini driver for victory but his daring strategy of opting for wet tires did not pay off, the course having remained largely completely dry this afternoon. “My choice was ultimately bad”, recognizes the pilot Porsche sur ffsa.org. ?Within five minutes, the option of rain tires could have been in my favor. Normally, I wouldn't have been able to go get it. »

Ludovic Gal completes the podium with his Peugeot 207 S2000. Cédric Robert (Citroën DS3 R3) failed in fourth place ahead of Christian Crozet (Citroën Xsara WRC) and Emmanuel Guigou (Renault Megane RS).
