Given the upheavals that are brewing, the 2024 French championship promises to be exciting. Before the first round takes place in Pas-de-Calais, the off-season will not have lacked attraction. Programs have already been revealed for Stéphane Sarrazin's team with Ford Fiesta Rally2s. The names of the drivers who will be fielded within PH-Sport on Citroën C3 Rally2s are also known with a pair of promising young people: Léo Rossel and Anthony Fotia. On the side of Eric Camilli and Hugo Margaillan, very interesting things are also emerging. All of this should result in a nice diversity among the Rally2s aiming for victory. As the good news accumulated, a cross-checking of information led to the conclusion that Yoann Bonato and Benjamin Boulloud would not race this year in CHL Sport Auto.

Christophe Lecureux's structure is preparing to enter WRC2 with Emil Lindholm. During the next rally of Sweden (February 15-18), the Finn will operate a Hyundai i20 Rally2 hatched by CHL. Nothing has yet been announced for Teemu Suninen, but it would not be impossible for the other Nordic to also be part of this program. If this new adventure is exciting for the Ardèche team, does it not contradict the links that united CHL and Citroën Racing? As seems to be the case, Yoann Bonato finds himself without a steering wheel. Met during Monte-Carlo (where he served as Yohan Rossel's usher) the multiple French champion did not want to dwell too much on the subject. He just confirmed that he was looking for solutions. In the service park, other rumors responded to his silence announcing that with his loyal partners, including Citroën and trusted people, he would try to set up his own team. While he has often been asked if he does not find it monotonous to start again each season with the same organization, Bonato is faced with a formidable challenge to take on.
