Cuoq four to four

The second day of racing was a simple formality for Jean-Marie Cuoq, author of four scratch times on six special stages, the other two going to Bernard Munster (Skoda Octavia) and Laurent Carbonaro (Ford Focus WRC). The 307 WRC driver finished more than two minutes ahead of Thomas Privé.

Privé was very fast and consistent this Sunday. He quickly took the advantage over Christophe Ferrier (who was experiencing some problems with his differential) and controlled the recovery of Dominique Bruyneel. The latter snatched third place in the last kilometers, which allowed him to widen the gap at the top of the French championship.

On the Group R side, the Citroën C2 R2s were imperial, but the surprise came from the very young Belgian Thierry Neuville, who for his first rally on land, defeated the experienced Comolli, Jacquot and Bouffier?
