David Salanon between Citroën C3 and Ford Fiesta Rally2 in 2021

David Salanon can count on a serious program in 2021 on the French rally scene. The double winner of the French Rally Cup in 2010 and 2011 will enter both the French Championship (1st and 2nd division) and the French Cup with the Châteauroux final in his sights.

Driver of the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 last year, Salanon was able to acquire a Citroën C3 Rally2, Italian champion with Andrea Crugnola, which will be used in the Championship rounds.

For the French Cup section, the Loire native will drive a Ford Fiesta Rally2 operated by the TM Compétition team, which will compete in the French Asphalt and Dirt Championships with Quentin Gilbert and Stéphane Consani.

“I will be present at several national events as well as in test sessions to optimize the all-new Ford Fiesta Rally2, Salanon explains. The objective will be to be there for the Final of the 2021 French Rally Cup in Châteauroux. »

A very good program for David Salanon, who has revenge to take after coming very close to a third victory in the final, beaten by a breath in 2019 by Jean-Michel da Cunha in Albi.
