Titles at stake at Cardabelles

Even if we will have to wait until the last event, the Terre du Vaucluse in mid-November, to know the name of the 2011 French champion, several titles are at stake this weekend at the Terre des Cardabelles, notably in two-wheel drive and in the promotional formulas Peugeot .

Benefiting from the poor performance of Paul Chieusse (Peugeot 307 WRC) during the last round in Lloret de Mar, Simon Jean-Joseph (Peugeot 207 S2000) and Emmanuel Gascou (Peugeot 207 S2000) escaped in the general classification. They are logically favorites for victory, even if they will have to take into account Patrick Magaud. Ex-official Citroën driver at the end of the 90s and member of Sébastien’s “close guard” Loeb in the World Rally Championship, Magaud will drive a C4 WRC with the firm ambition of winning.

In two-wheel drive, as has been the case since the start of the season, the battle should rage between the DS3 R3s of Kevin Abbring, Quentin Gilbert and Davy Jeanney. For their part, the two competitions organized by Peugeot Sport, the Volant 207 Terre and the “general” Volant, could see their epilogue on Sunday evening. At home, Aveyron player Germain Bonnefis is best placed to be crowned. The Citroën Racing Trophy drivers complete the field.
