At 48 years old, François Delecour showed during the last Rally Monte Carlo that he had lost none of his talent. At the wheel of a Peugeot 207 S2000 lacking the latest developments, he finished the event in fifth overall, not without setting the scratch time in SS8.
These good performances only increased the desire of “Freinetard” to dive again. For 2011, three cumulative options are available to him.
François Delecour could compete in two other rounds of the IRC, the Tour de Corse and the San Remo, provided he has a new generation Peugeot 207 S2000. He could also line up in an Italian championship still accepting the old WRC, aboard a Citroën C4 or a Ford Focus RS. Finally, compete in the French championship in the GT + category at the wheel of a Porsche would also constitute a solution, which would be done in partnership with the Romanian sponsor who supported him in Monte Carlo.
