Julien Maurin finishes with a victory at the Rallye du Var

Julien Maurin had an exemplary season and celebrated his title of French Rally Champion by winning a sixth victory at the Rallye du Var, winning ahead of Jérémi Ancian and Pierre Roché.

Julien Maurin finishes with a victory at the Rallye du Var

Julien Maurin (Fiesta WRC) remained untouchable in the 59th edition of the Rally of the Var. The reigning champion secured his sixth victory of the season by winning with a lead of more than a minute over the Peugeot 207 S2000 of Jérémi Ancian, while Pierre Roché completes the last podium of the year on his Mini Countryman. Michel Boetti (207 S2000) finished in fourth position but still won the Michelin Trophy, while Ludovic Gal completed the top five of the weekend on his Fiesta S2000 and offered the title to Team Emap Yacco.

Axel Garcia wins the French Junior Rally Championship title following Florian Bernardi's retirement the day before. In the Citroën Racing Trophy, it was Cédric Robert who won the title by winning with almost a minute ahead of Frédéric Comte. Frédéric Hauswald is the new promotion to Citroën Racing Trophy Junior after taking second place behind Laurent Pellier. Yoann Bonato wins again in the Opel Adam Cup. Manu Guigou wins the Twingo R2 Trophy but it is Yann Clairay who will celebrate the title.
