More than 200 crews are entered this weekend in the Mont-Blanc rally which marks the start of the French championship.

The crowds at Mont-Blanc

Competitors in the French rally championship return to Morzine tomorrow and, with 211 entries, the field for the 63rd edition of the Rally du Mont-Blanc promises great explanations in all the categories represented!

The star will be the Mini John Cooper Works entered by the Drive Pro team and driven by Pierre Campana, who has the support of the FFSA. The Corsican driver has just achieved an 18th place in the German rally WRC and presents himself as one of the candidates for victory against Eric Brunson, current leader of the general classification in his Subaru Impreza, Dany Snobeck (Citroën C4 WRC), Pierre Roché (Peugeot 307 WRC) or Frédéric Comte, back this year in a Peugeot 307 WRC from the GPC team. Campana, who is preparing his participation in the French Rally in Alsace, will be transparent in the championship, where Brunson has 9 points ahead of Snobeck and 12 over Roché, winner of the last round in Aveyron.

All promotional formulas (Peugeot Steering Wheel, Trophy Renault Twingo R1 and R2) will be present in the Alps. The start of the first stage is given this Friday at 7:10 a.m.; the final finish will be judged on Saturday from 17:23 p.m.
