Official launch of the championship

The 2009 French rally championship kicks off in Lyon on the occasion of the 61st edition of the rally Lyon-Charbonnières-Rhône. The 196 registered crews give a sign of good health for national motorsport.

Among these, Dany Snobeck puts her title back on the line: “ I am happy to get back into the rally atmosphere after a long and difficult off-season to put together the programs. Defending my rally crown will not be easy because I already know that I will not be able to compete in the next two rounds due to the FFSA Super Series calendar. »

Winner of the previous edition, the 2008 French champion is rather circumspect: “ The Bozian team provides me with a 307 as always WRC very efficient. The car has evolved further. But on the Charbonnières specials that he knows well, David Salanon will prove difficult to beat. »

In addition to the Catalunya rally, his first in the world, Snobeck could compete in three events in France (Rouergue, Mont-Blanc and Var) with the hope of scoring as many points as possible.

The contenders for the 2009 title have not yet revealed their ambitions. However, like Eric Brunson, great host of the previous season, Pierre Roché could create a surprise with the Subaru of the Galpin team. The Amboise driver is one of the few to be guaranteed to participate in the entire championship with Jean-Sébastien Vigion (Peugeot 207 Super 2000) and Emmanuel Guigou (Renault Clio R3) which can also play an interesting role by stocking up on points in their displacement classes.
