The Var rally victim of confinement

The organizers of rally du Var announced Thursday the cancellation of the event after the announcement of confinement. “With the curfew it was difficult, in confinement it’s impossible” commented on the rally while giving an appointment next year.

The 66th edition of the Var event was to be held from November 26 to 29 and confinement will last at least until December 1. Its cancellation leads to the end of the French Rally Championship, after only three rounds, the Rally du Touquet, the Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine and the Rallye Coeur de France.

The title should therefore go to Yoann Bonato and his Citroën C3 R5 if it is correctly awarded.
