The 2021 Renault Clio Trophy Asphalt and Gravel calendars confirmed

For a season that everyone hopes will be normal after the year 2020 marked by the successive cancellations of events in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, Renault Sport will offer a substantial program to competitors in both parts of the Clio Trophy, the earth joining the asphalt in 2021.

The asphalt series will consist of six rounds, the first at Le Touquet in March, rally which will also serve as the final round of the 2020 Trophy, as already announced by the Losange. A particular format but which will have double importance for the entrants and the possible contenders for the title.

The Lyon-Charbonnières, the Vosges, the Rouergue, the Coeur de France and the Critérium des Cévennes will follow, without passing through Mont-Blanc in particular. The final 2021 ranking will be established by taking into account the five best results out of the six rallies on the program.

As for the Terre Trophy, four rounds (Castine, Langres, Lozère and Cardabelles) will be offered, with the three best results to be taken into account for the final result. Note that the calendars can be coupled, since no date overlap will disrupt such a program.

Renault will once again be generous, since the first three in the asphalt series will be rewarded while the best Junior will be offered a sporting program with Renault Sport Racing for 2022, managed by the structure that won the team classification.

On the gravel side, the best Junior will be able to compete in two gravel events in 2022 at the wheel of the Clio Rally4, under development at Renault to go hunting on the flowerbeds of the Peugeot 208 Rally4 having started this year.
