The decisions of the Executive Bureau and the Steering Committee of the FFSA

The FFSA decisions taken last week concern different French Championships. The Federation has firstly announced the creation of a French Historical Circuit Championship from next year in order to respond to the numerous requests from licensees in historic competitions who currently only ride within the framework of Trophies or Challenges. The promoter will be revealed soon. The provisional calendar includes five events (April 4-5 in Dijon, May 2-3 in Vigeant, June 20-21 in Charade, September 5-6 in Nogaro, October 11-12 in Lédenon). In addition, the FFSA has decided to promote historic events on open roads by reducing the registration fees for organizers and by creating a “Regularity on open roads” Participation Title accessible at an appropriate price.

The FFSA also focused on rally. In the French Gravel Rally Championship, cars subject to tire marking can now be fitted with unmarked rubber in the starting park, the service park and the closed park at the end of the stage. The tires will remain free for reconnaissance. In the French Rally Cup, registration and tire limitations will be removed during the Final. On the other hand, the WRC, RRCs, FRCs, GT+ and GT10s over 6l will no longer be able to score points in the Coupe de France and will therefore not be admitted to the Final from 2015. In addition, points will be reduced by half when a class will have fewer than three entries, unless the competitor finishes in the top ten of the general classification. The Women's category will only be reserved for exclusively female crews.

Few new features, however, for the Rallycross, but all in all good news for the drivers and teams involved since the homologation date for the S1600 and Supercars has been extended by two years (in addition to the four years granted to the FIA).

Concerning the internal structure of the FFSA, Jacques Goisque was appointed Director of the Sport Pole of the FFSA after having led the Pole Karting. Responsible for the promotion and development of the Karting Pole, Arnaud Sepval has been appointed Head of the Karting Serviec. Finally, the technical manager of the Technical Service Laurent Chamard becomes technical manager of historic vehicles, replacing Pierre Hérat.
