Loeb easy winner at Rallye du Var
Sébastien Loeb was not threatened in the last stage of the Rally of the Var. The nine-time champion WRC was the fastest on the last 3 special stages, the Plan de la Tour route having been cancelled. This is his 4th victory in this event after those acquired in 2000, 2009 and 2014.
With its Hyundai i20 WRC, l’Alsacien a terminé avec plus d’une minute d’avance sur Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda Fabia R5) qui a réussi à tenir tête à la star tricolore lors de la première journée.
Winner last year, Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 R5) completed the podium, maintaining a lead of around ten seconds over Stéphane Sarrazin (Hyundai i20 R5). Ole Christian Veiby (Hyundai i20 R5) completed the Top 5 ahead of Quentin Gilbert (Skoda Fabia R5) and Raphaël Astier (Hyundai i20 R5).
