Manu Guigou Alpine at the end of the 2020 season

After several seasons on French asphalt at the wheel of the Renault Clio RS R3T, the 48-year-old from Hérault will swap his usual mount for a Alpine A110 RGT over the last five rounds of the 2020 French Rally Championship, and therefore from the restart at Mont-Blanc-Morzine from September 3 to 5.

Manu guigou will find a car that he developed and with which he opened the last Rally Heart of France (September 27-29, 2019). Operated by Team Joffroy, qui aligne principalement des Porsche Groupe 3 et Groupe 4 en VHC, l’Alpine, which has not undergone any changes since its beginnings, will be shod with Pirelli, while its development was carried out with Michelin tires.

“The car should be ready at the beginning of August and we will be driving straight away, the three-time champion of New Caledonia told us. The driving sessions will mainly focus on understanding the tire range. »

Let us also remember that the A110 RGT, developed by Signatech, had competed in the French Championship during the first round of the year, at Le Touquet, with François Delecour and Cédric Robert. Alone in its category, the car entrusted to the 1993 world vice-champion finished the event in 11th place.
