Manu Guigou, impatient to ride

Emmanuel Guigou will be, on March 19, at the start of the Rally du Touquet, the event which opens the 2010 French Rally Championship. Third in the 2009 edition of the championship, the driver does not yet know his program for the year but knows that it will be provided.

« The schedule is taking shape with a very busy start to the season, confirms Manu Guigou. I will compete in the first two rounds of the French Championship with a Clio Renault Sport R3 Maxi from the Chazel Technologie Course team. I am convinced that this car presents the best price/performance ratio for driving in France. Renaud Chazel made a significant effort to allow us to have a new car. The Clio R3 is extremely reliable and efficient. »

Second in the 2009 BFGoodrich Trophy, Manu Guigou is counting on his first two races to enrich his 2010 program. We are starting off on solid foundations by participating in the French Championship and the BFGoodrich Trophy with the hope of expanding this program in the coming months. I very much hope that these first rallies will trigger new opportunities. »

Scheduled for the end of the 2009 season, the Rallye du Touquet opens the season this time. Emmanuel Guigou knows that it will not be the easiest opening. “ Even if the season changes, the ground should be as slippery as usual. It won't be the easiest event to start the season but I can't wait to return to competition and find out who our rivals will be in 2010! »

In addition, Manu Guigou will sometimes change his mount to take part in a few events at the wheel of a Twingo Renault Sport R2. “ We will start with the Rallye d?Epernay. With a sequential gearbox, adjustable shock absorbers and a specific rear axle, this Twingo has everything from its big sister! It is intended to be economical in maintenance. I've already had a lot of fun developing the car. »
