Michelin launches its Rally Tour in 2021

We knew the Michelin Trophy, contested as part of the French Rally Championship, now Bibendum will launch the Michelin counterpart Rally Tour as part of the French Rally Cup from 2021.

This trophy will be organized on 30 national and regional rallies and is open to all drivers except those who have benefited and/or who benefit in 2021 from FIA priority, and drivers who have taken one or more starts in the World Rally Championship. behind the wheel of a car in the category WRC. These same cars are prohibited in the Trophy, just like the GT+ and the VHC.

Note that after registration for the trophy, drivers will be entitled to an 8% discount on Michelin tires sold by “CEERTA” up to a limit of 20 tires for the 2021 season.

Superb rewards will be awarded to the different winners in three main categories. The driver who scored the most points in four-wheel drive will be rewarded with a rally in the French Championship in 2022 in a Citroën C3 Rally2. A round in a Clio R4 will be offered to the winner in two-wheel drive, when the R-GT winner will drive a Alpine A110 in Alpine Cup Rally. This is without counting end-of-season bonuses for the first three in each class.

To establish these rankings, on each round, points will be awarded to the top three in class (9, 6 and 3 pts in a national event, 6, 4 and 2 pts in a regional event).
