2 Wheel Drive Winners – Sylvain and Daniel Mahier (Peugeot 208 GTI)
Sylvain Mahier and his father Daniel ranked ninth in the general classification and 2e in RC4. Passionate since the rally des Jardins de la France passed in front of the family home in Chenonceaux (Indre-et-Loire) in 2004, Sylvain began his tenth year as a pilot at the age of 28.
A child of the ball, he started at 18 with an AX GTI N1 at the National des Vins de Vouvray (Indre-et-Loire) in August 2012, barely a month after obtaining his license. In 2013, he purchased a Clio Ragnotti with which he won the “Au coeur de la France” Rally. Mechanic preparer of his Peugeot 208 GTI, he will participate with his father in the Rallye du Rouergue (Aveyron) in July.
Second 2WD – Christopher Touvron and Ophélia Chaigne (Renault Clio)
Pure passion Vendéen aged 31, Christopher Touvron, co-driven by Ophélia Chaigne, ranked 11e in the scratch ranking and 4e in RC4. Christopher has been rallying for thirteen years, six of which were valuable apprenticeships in the right-hand seat before moving to the back at the wheel.
In 2023, he participated in the Rallye de Lohéac (Ille-et-Vilaine) where he placed 13e scratch and 2e in its category, then at the Rallye Dame de Chambrille (Deux-Sèvres) with a brilliant 6 at the finishe place in general. For his last appearance before Saint-Émilion, he went to compete in the French second division championship in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) with a 16e place overall and 3e in its category.
