Mickaël Reydellet is in the lead this evening after an ideal first day. The competitors set off from Florac for the prologue under heavy skies. If the first 70 competitors escaped the rain in the prologue, the storm hit the next ones and the next two special stages. Mickaël Reydellet hits hard in the prologue, finishing 2''7 ahead of Jonathan Escudero and 7'' ahead of Yannick Vivens.

Despite tricky conditions in the second special, Reydellet took a new scratch 8''6 ahead of Vivens...Behind it was the abyss, Escudero finished 22''4 behind and the others more than 25'' behind.

In the difficult Pompidou special, Reydellet continued his festival and relegated his closest rivals to more than a second per kilometer! Vivens finished at 24'' and Hernandez at 24''3, the latter had won in 2019 but judged to be "too defensive, despite an excellent car! »

Reydellet's opponents reacted, Vivens launched the charge and finished SS4 2'' ahead of Reydellet and 14''1 over Hernandez. Only a new storm breaks out before the start of the last special! The time is much slower than the first pass, but despite 2 spins Reydellet signs his 4th scratch 9" ahead of Hernandez... Behind it is the abyss, Lemaître finishes third at 44"7, Vivens at 46"1 …Escudero did not have time to fit his 2 rain tires and lost more than a minute…We will note the superb 5th time in this special from Ludovic Malhautier on his small 106 F2000. On a regular basis, it's hard to see who will be able to pick up Reydellet on a regular basis during the second stage!

On the side of competitors Michelin Rally Tour, Julien Croquet and Franck Castelbou respectively occupy the second and third steps of the F2000/13 while Tom Maslag largely dominates the N2. In VHC, on his BMW, Thomas Combernoux leads ahead of the R5 Turbo of Eric Rabier and the Simca Rally 3 by Patrice Deriemont
