A native of Deauville, Mickaël Reydellet raced tirelessly after this first victory on his rally in the heart of the Côte Fleurie. The fastest baker in France finally managed to enter the winners of the event at the end of a perfectly controlled rally.
Still co-driven by Stéphane Lefebvre, Mickaël Reydellet took the lead of the event from the “classic” Lais de Mer time trial in the streets of Deauville on Friday evening. Shock on Saturday morning when the last winners of the event, Jean-Marie Cuoq and Eric Brunson, retired in quick succession due to mechanical problems. the VW driver therefore set out to string together 4 scratches to authoritatively establish his superiority over his competitors and build his own. stratospheric lead of more than 50 seconds over his first pursuer, Jordan Berfa, before the last four special stages.
A final blow in the penultimate timed sector and Reydellet and Lefebvre were able to take advantage of a victory acquired with panache by dropping around ten seconds in the last to take full advantage of their return to Deauville.
Behind them, Jordan Berfa, who discovered this rally, finished in a very good second place in front of three great regulars of the Normandy classic, Cédric Robert, winner of the FRGT, Marc Amourette and the President of the Normandy league, always as fast with hoop in hand, Pierre Rages.
Behind the leading RGT and Rally2, Thomas Chauffray celebrated his victory in the Coupe de France Final in Béthune in the most beautiful way with a seventh place and victory in F RC4, followed immediately by Michel Bourgeois, untouchable in FRallyNat .
The Rallye de la Côte Fleurie also marks the launch of the Michelin Rally Tour 2023.
Marc Amourette and Pierre Ragues, two loyal to the brand at Bibendum, logically won their respective 4-wheel drive and GT categories while Thomas Chauffray won the 2-wheel drive classification.
