Death of Gérard Brianti at Morocco Historic Rally

The Morocco Historic Rally is mourned by the fatal accident of Gérard Brianti who left the road on his Porsche 911 in the fourth stage. The Monegasque's Porsche 911 left the road in a rapid curve, falling around twenty meters into a deep river. While his teammate Freddy Delorme managed to escape from the car and was perfectly unharmed, Gérard Brianti unfortunately remained stuck in the car, and succumbed to the bottom of the water.

Gérard Brianti was an important personality in the Principality since he was notably the vice-president of ASM (the Monaco football club) and an important figure in the real estate sector. He was also a member of the Automobile Club de Monaco and won the 2013 edition of the Rally Historic Monte-Carlo on a Alpine A110 S. He was 64 years old.

AUTO editorial staffhebdo extends its condolences to his family and loved ones.
