Nicolas Hernandez wins the Rallye de la Vienne

After a year off, the event was reborn due to Covid and kicked off the season in Aquitaine North. The thirtieth edition was disrupted by the weather and animated by an epic duel between Nicolas Hernandez, the native of the country, and Denis Millet.

Ce rally is the worthy heir to a long series born in the 1950s and 60s. After thirty-eight years of regional map rallies, thirty national editions have followed one another, almost without interruption, and have made it essential. Its early date protected it from any competition and allowed it to attract crews from Touraine and Normandy. The attraction of the Coupe de France also encourages drivers who wish to qualify for the final to score points as soon as possible. Hence the hundred crews engaged in modern (not forgetting the dozen or so in VHC).
