Olivier Marty winner at Rouergue

2015 was heartbreaking for Olivier Marty, who was aiming for two at Rouergue after winning in 2014. But a Ford Focus RS WRC capriciousness had prevented him from achieving the double while he dominated the event counting for the French Rally Championship.

2016 marks the return to the forefront of the native Aveyronnais, undisputed winner of this 42nd edition of Rouergue. Despite stalling in a hairpin this Saturday, Marty concluded the rally with a comfortable lead of 2'17" over his first pursuer Sylvain Michel (Skoda Fabia R5) who achieves another excellent operation with a view to the championship. Frédéric Raynal (Ford Fiesta R5) completes the podium of the event at 3'32" and wins the Michelin Trophy.

Charles Martin in the Clio R3T Trophy and Charlotte Berton in the Women's Championship are the other winners of the Aveyron weekend.
