Opel returns to Rally France with the Adam

Opel announces its return to the French Championship this year with its new Adam model for the next three seasons. The German manufacturer will create a brand cup, the Opel Adam Cup, which will be contested over six events in the 2013 season (at Lyon-Charbonnières, Limousin, Rouergue, Mont-Blanc Morzine, Critérium des Cévennes and Var). General Motors France has chosen the 2HP Competition structure for the organization of the Opel Adam Cup and the operation of the official car entered with Charlotte Berton, three-time winner of the women's classification in the 2010 – 2011 French Rally Championship? 2012. In addition to attractive cash prizes for competitors in each sporting event, the final winner of the 2013 Opel ADAM Cup will be offered an official Opel steering wheel for six rounds of the 2014 French Rally Championship.

The Opel Adam version rally will be powered by a specific 1.6l naturally aspirated engine with a power of 145hp. The car will be equipped with Brembo brakes, a SADEV 5-speed sequential gearbox with limited-slip differential, electro-hydraulic steering, Reiger suspensions and a welded multi-point rollbar.
