Leader from the first special of this second stage, Quentin Giordano (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport) subsequently followed up with five best times to build his first victory in the French Championship. This first success for the Lorraine driver also allows Sarrazin Motorsport to win for the first time on the asphalt in the French Championship. “This victory is the result of a lot of work with my team, Kevin Parent my co-driver and my engineer. I think we had a very solid race, we were calm. We kept the Championship in mind and therefore always had a little margin to reach the podium in Charbonnières. It's a great result. I thank everyone who has supported me over all these years. »

At the head of the French Championship arriving in Beaujolais, Nicolas Ciamin (i20 N Rally2-2C Compétition) took advantage of the retirement of Yoann Bonato (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) to take control of the rally during the first stage. Struggling with the front end of his Korean, the 24-year-old driver was unable to catch up with a particularly confident Quentin Giordano at the wheel of his Polo. “Quentin was better than us, we are in our place. I made a few small mistakes, but overall it was a good weekend. We have little things to work on on the car with the team. »

Cédric Robert was secretly thinking about it: signing scratches and getting on the podium. Mission accomplished for the former pilot Peugeot Sport in the World Rally Championship who went for the best time in SS 8 before definitively validating his place on the third step of the podium, in addition to his victory in the two-wheel drive classification. The A110 Rally of the Bonneton HDG Yacco team was ahead of another Alpine, the one driven by Julien Saunier. Fourth after having “put his finger” on good settings, the stage local offered himself the scratch time of the last special, enough to motivate him to take the start of the Antibes Rally.

Although he recognized that the “Charbo” is not his favorite playground, William Wagner (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport) took advantage of the second stage to optimize his driving before taking the points for fifth place.

The “rookie” quickly got used to driving theAlpine and took control of the Trophy from SS 1. Co-driven by Valentin Salmon, Raymond tried to increase the pace throughout the rally before finishing in a promising ninth place.
