That Jérémi Ancian, the man from Haut-Valromey, wins the Rally Ain-Jura in Oyonnax (Ain), simply seems logical given the pedigree and the talent of the driver. But winning at home is never easy given the mountainous stages, traced in the forest with the Chemin de la Guerre as the standard or Lake Genin, a little haven of peace, and Poizat – Brénod. This copious menu has been operating for forty-three years, with one event always classified in the 2nd division.
“I have a preference for the Chemin de la Guerre special with, in the first kilometers, a tight and damaged road before switching to fast and wide tarmac, like at the Mont-Blanc rally. Then, we end up on a winding road with perfectly smooth tarmac. Stunning ", confides Ancian.
