Rally – Anthony Puppo takes his first victory in Antibes

Anthony Puppo (Skoda Fabia R5) won his first success in the French Championship by winning 52nd Rally from Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes). The winner notably took advantage of the handbrake problems of Franck Lions (DS 3 WRC) and the retirement due to a mechanical problem for David Salanon (Ford Fiesta WRC).

“I had very good feelings throughout the weekend, explained Anthony Puppo. I'm happy because we went off the road for the first time recently, and I was a little apprehensive throughout the rally. We had experience on these roads and we hoped to fight well with the WRCs. Even though they had some problems, we performed well. »

Yoann Bonato (DS 3 R5) preferred to play it safe to secure second place by finishing almost half a minute behind and winning maximum points in the Championship to increase his lead in the Drivers' standings.

Cédric Robert won the Clio R3T Trophy.
