Antibes Rally – Julien Maurin on the floor

La Hyundai i20 WRC by Bryan Bouffier was undoubtedly the attraction of this 49th edition of the Rally of Antibes, fourth round of the 2014 French Rally Championship. The Frenchman was lined up for the event in the South of France to perfect the settings of the Korean and continue the development of the usual mount of Thierry Neuville in World. However, we expected to see Bryan Bouffier at the forefront. But from the first kilometers of the day, the strong man would reveal himself to be the reigning French Champion Julien Maurin and his Ford Fiesta RS WRC.

After the first loop of three special stages, Muarin already has a significant gap at the head of the race since 40″7 separates the Fiesta from the Hyundai of Bouffier, who admitted not to give his all. “We try to ride at a good pace but without pushing hard. We are happy, we have relevant information to pass on to the technical team regarding the car. » declared the former pilot Peugeot .
