Rally – Bonato wins his duel against Paddon at Rouergue

Yoann Bonato (DS 3 R5) remained out of reach in the second stage of the Rally of Rouergue (Aveyron). The leader of the French Asphalt Rally Championship scored his first victory in this event by winning with more than a minute ahead of Hayden Paddon (Hyundai i20 R5).

Hayden Paddon lost time on the first day with a crash and a puncture relegating him to more than a minute. Despite a series of scratches, the New Zealander was not able to threaten Yoann Bonato.

Quentin Giordano (Skoda Fabia R5) completed the podium with less than 10 seconds ahead of Anthony Puppo (Skoda) and thus won the R5 category of the Michelin Trophy. Jean-Sébastien Vigion (Skoda) completed the top five, 10 seconds from 4th place, ahead of the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup of Patrick Rouillard victorious in the Michelin Trophy which took advantage of the error of Jordan Berfa (Hyundai i20 R5) ultimately 8th.

Nicolay Gryazin (Skoda) moved up to 7th position after falling to 23rd place during the first stage. Cédric Robert finished 9th, winning the Clio R3T Trophy ahead of Florian Bernardi who completed the top ten. 11th in the general classification, Laurent Pellier won the 208 Rally Cup ahead of Quentin Ribaud and Efren Llarena.
